Lithium-Manganese-Iron-Phosphate
IBUvolt® LMFP
Cathode Material for Lithium-Manganese-Iron-Phosphate Batteries
IBU-tec presents IBUvolt® LMFP Gen.0, an innovative cathode material developed entirely in our own facilities. Combining our many years of experience in producing lithium iron phosphate (LFP) with new materials, it opens up future prospects for safe, efficient, and sustainable energy storage.
Homogeneous particle and property distribution
Thanks to our continuous, scalable production process, adapted from LFP production, we achieve a uniform material structure with high reproducibility.
Scalable production
The material is produced on an industrial scale under stable conditions, making it ideal for large-volume applications.
Readily available raw materials - Made in Europe
IBUvolt® LMFP uses raw materials that are readily available in Europe, which is a clear advantage in terms of sustainability, security of supply, and independence.
Comparable capacities to existing commercial materials
LMFP Gen.0 offers increased specific energy and performance compared to LFP without compromising thermal stability.
It is the basis for customer-specific material solutions.
LMFP Gen.0's flexible process architecture makes it an ideal starting point for developing application-specific materials, such as use in NMC blends, dry coating, or solid batteries.
Applications
IBUvolt® LMFP Gen. 0 is designed for a wide range of applications, including electromobility and industrial-scale stationary storage systems. Its high-temperature stability and safety profile make LMFP particularly interesting for use in demanding environments and new cell concepts.

Technology & Development
The development of IBUvolt® LMFP Gen.0 marks a significant milestone in the diversification of modern battery materials. Combining LFP expertise with innovative material substitution resulted in a material that is energy-efficient and resistant to thermal stress. Our application technology team is constantly evaluating new application scenarios and providing support for integration into customer-specific designs.
